I am a planner. It is in my blood. I dream at night concocting events in my head. I just can’t help it.
Here are examples of past and present events I have coordinated:
The Maine Outdoor Film Festival (Moff) is a growing film festival that draws crowds of 200+ in various screenings in the less traveled towns of Maine to promote creativity in the outdoors. For Moff I wrote social media posts, monthly emails & press releases. Gave the latest website refresh feedback and developed a process to their sponsorship platform. I also planned and coordinated the annual awards show.
Location: Screening in various towns throughout the state & awards show (2016, 2017)
The Bearded Brewfest attracts 700+ people to its man centric trade show, beer festival. I wrote social media posts, monthly Beard & Beer emails, website refresh, and developed a process to their vendor & sponsorship platform. I also coordinated the table setup of over 30+ vendors & 30+ breweries to all fit in 1 location in an organized manner. I enabled myself to think like a bearded beer loving man and really morph into that mind set when working on this project.
Location: USM Sullivan Gym (2016)
The annual Spouse Event for one of the largest construction companies in the United States
Location(s): A scavenger hunt at The Metropolitan Museum of Art, spa day at SpaCastle, cooking classes at The Brooklyn Kitchen & lunch at Riverpark. Everything had to be perfectly timed here as 100+ women needed to board buses from one side of Brooklyn to parts of Manhattan and Queens through NYC traffic. Ensuring they had the best day ever was a pleasure of mine- these spouses deserve it!
(2012, 2013, 2014)
Wines of Chile
Assisted with & recorded ratings for the Wines of Chile week long wine tasting of 500+ blends with Jay Miller, world famous wine advocate. I was Mr. Millers host during this week long tasting. It was important wines were corked and poured properly and his hand written scores were properly recorded for future press releases.
Location: The Thomas Collective, NYC (2010)
Gunstock Pig Roast
A weekend long neighborhood block party, this is now the 27th year and planning is now underway for 2017. Coordination of food set up, kids games, and a ladies night alongside set up and break down this is a three day long event, but so much fun to be a part of.
Location: Pleasant Hill Neighborhood (2016, 2017)
I helped the Sales Director pack for and plan set up for their annual NACDS booth setups. Their booth space was filled with a portfolio of brands and the show also included pre scheduled meetings with stores so I had to think ahead of what items the director would need well in advance.
Coty, Inc. NYC (2009)
